Re: Science and the Bible
Can you can take the bible seriously but not literally?
When all is said and done, is not the bible *GOD'S*
very own autobiography?

Hello,

Yes, the Bible is inspired by God, but there is no way it could be His
autobiography. That is because God never had a beginning. (Ps 90:2)
Thus to record His activities from infinity backwards would require a
book infinitely long, would it not.

Also perhaps you were not aware of it, but Jesus DID have a beginning.
Thus Jesus cannot be God, as many profess. Col 1:15,

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all
creation." (NASB)

And as for the topic "Re: Science and the Bible", I have always found
the Bible to be in agreement with true science.

Sincerely, James

James, I'm not seeking an argument, but how can we reconcile this with
the first few verses of the book of John? Gordon
