The world can believe that
Jesus is the Son of God,
that he was born on earth,
that he lived a perfect life,
that he went to the cross for us
and paid for our sins
and gave his life for us
and rose again
and ascended into heaven.
But despite believing all that,
the world will not trust him
to be our Righteous Substitute.
It just cannot believe that Jesus
is our righteousness for us.
But that is precisely what
Protestants originally believed
and what those who believe
the gospel does not change
should still believe,
and some do.
