Re: I am sick of racistic Christians
It was the Christian religion which lead to anti-semitism, nationalism, racism, and nazism...
it is the CHRISTIANS who are
responsible for mass killing of people, for example in
Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya and many other places.
Historically it was the Christian religion which killed the most
number of people on earth.
Christian religion has a built-in racism, especially against Jews.
Remember it was the Christian thinking which lead to NAZI ideology
and Auschwitz etc... Nice religion, is it?...
My point is that it is unfair to blame Islam when the Christian
religion is more guilty; one just needs to study the history...
And: do you know what Christians did in South and North America,
and in Australia?...
Do you know who started the WWI?
Do you know who started the WWII?
Believe me Christians are more guilty then anybody else on earth.
(much snipping. soc.religion.christian does not accept a lot of quoted
material)

Hello,

Respectfully, well let's see if Christians really did all those things
you mentioned above. But first we have to define a "Christian". Anyone
can claim anything, right?

Here is one simple definition that the Bible would have no problem
with:

"Christian...a person who believes in Christ and follows His teachings"
(The World Book Encyclopedia Dictionary)

So a person must do two things to be a real Christian. One is believe
in Jesus. And the second is to obey Jesus' commands. Jesus certainly
expects that, since he said at Lu 6:46,

"Why do you call me, `Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?" (NIV)

So take a look at just one of Jesus' commands and see if those alleged
'Christians' above are really Christians at all. Mt 5:44,

"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute
you," (NASB)

Case closed.

Sincerely, James

I feel your anger and I can understand. But please do not mix people and
religion. There are Muslims who say they kill for their God. But I doubt
God would want his children to kill one another. Face it, lets just say,
God created everyone, gave us the freedom to believe what we want.
That s unconditional love. WE ARE STILL HIS CHILDREN. Would a sane
father kill his own child because he is rebellious? I doubt it.

To me, be it Muslim or Christians, what would solve this is mutual
respect.
The Lord has taught us never to judge others. Which would also mean,
respecting what others are doing and leave the judging to the Lord. It
is when MAN takes things into their own hands, for their own selfish
needs. I don't buy " Fighting For Freedom " and fighting for other
people's fight.

People have choices that they can make. Some are born in a situation
where everything is safe, perfect and good. Some are born in unsafe,
unruly and in constant fear. Face it, it's God's will that these things
happen. Perhaps the Lord has a plan to why people are placed in such
situations? Perhaps it's a bigger picture that everyone else don't see
and everyone else is trying to play God by being overly self-rightuous.
Being self-correct is in its own, judging. Because, you would probably
be thinking I am right and you are wrong.

If the whole world are Christians or Muslims or whatever they believe in
and believe it correctly and abiding all rules of the religion. There
will be no bloodshed, no war and no unhappiness. PEOPLE are the ones who
make things the way it is now. Leave religion out of it.

What I cannot stand is, when I hear people say " I KILL FOR MY GOD" it's
utter rubbish. To fight for your believe is not to kill those who do not
believe in you but more of evangelize and show them the right path to
the way to the Lord. Those who believe in killing for their religion
sincerely, and respectfully I am saying unto you that, you have
misunderstood the Word.

I understand where you are coming from, but I won't exactly say Hitler
is a God fearing man. If he was, he will not do what he did. Just
because he "attends" church, that does not make him a Christian.
Are you saying that Osama is a true Muslim? Saddam Hussein too? Killing
your own people, raping and denying the rights of women who have been
raped and instead be insulted further by being persecuted?

There is no right or wrong in religious believe. I am a Christian,
though not a perfect one and I say unto you that I feel no anger towards
you or your believe, but I choose to pray that one day you will see the
light instead of sending someone else's father, sister, or himself to
blow innocent people up to tell you that I am not happy or I want to
strike fear into your heart for submission.

Remember this:
SOW THE SEED OF LOVE AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE FRUIT OF LOVE

I would point out that it is precisely this attitude that led to these
kinds of behaviors. Yes, Christians have killed people. Muslims have
killed people. Atheists (under communism) are real champions at
killing people. Even Jews have killed people, though they've seldom
had the opportunity to do so in great numbers. But all of these events
have something in common: exaggerating the differences between people,
scapegoating the other side, and then convincing people that they are
subhuman.

Anyone who tries to say "members of YOUR religion are the bad guys"
has started down that path. Christianity after the second World War
looked at itself and asked how to prevent that from reoccurring. It
hasn't been entirely successful, but we're at least trying, and I
think there has been progress. (The recent situations in Afghanistan
and Iraq, while complicated by misjudgements of other cultures, are
clearly a different thing than the Nazis. I'd be happy to talk about
it privately -- this not being a politics group, but such discussion
isn't going to be useful unless both sides are willing to use a level
of objectivity that I'm not seeing in your posting. I'm not competent
to talk about the situation in Chechnya.)

I'd suggest that Muslims who are concerned with Christian actions in
World War II start by looking at approaches to attack anti-Semitism in
Muslim cultures. I would be pleasantly surprised to see
Muslim-majority countries surrounding Iraq working to help Iraqi
Sunnis and Shiites live together, rather than fanning the flames. I'm
quite sure that the US would welcome the opportunity to remove all
troops from Iraq, to be replaced by a joint force of Saudi and Iranian
troops dedicated to helping Iraqi Muslims make peace (as opposed to
helping members of their flavor of Islam get as much advantage as
possible).

As you may know, one of Jesus' teachings is that we should start by
taking the log out of our own eye before looking for the speck in
someone else's. I realize that Muslims are not bound by Jesus'
teachings, but this is still excellent advice: People who use look at
other religions primarily to come up with reasons to bash others are
part of the problem, not the solution.

B - No...one might want to remember what the Bible says Jesus said.

As to the last line....Jesus did not say that.

Islam is the worst racist religion of the history and you are trying
to feign to be unaware of it. In these times, muslims are responsible
of the murder of thousands of unbelievers worldwide.
LOL! You are making cheap disinformation propaganda.

Would any of the conflicts between the early times Mediterranean
peoples have developed had the Arabic people not presented so
much of a problem as robbers? The Mediterranean people of that
era were engaged in commerce with Eastern Asia and thus impelled
to try to transport their merchandise by camel caravans, across
the Arabic areas? The brutal robber tactics of the Arabic people
were a very severe obstacle to any such trade. Wasn't this the
root cause of all the conflicts between the two societies?
Muhammad, himself, was a notorious robber baron.

B - I never mentioned sex...I mentioned Testosterone. Face it...if you
shoot up a man with more testosterone he gets more combative..more
aggressive....more angry and more sexual...the same with women. It is
testosterone "run amuck" (as in not used in a calm even minded way) that
does this. The majority of the murderers, rapists, etc. are men..and men
have higher testosterone levels usually. I never once mentioned sex..until
just now to explain. You can pretend that it's not true...but it is.

Well, uh, okay. I'm sure that you realize that such
statements are (almost) always made as a swipe at men in
general. When it is used as an explanation of 'most of our
problems,' that's when one goes astray. Since we are in a
Christian group, would it not be more fitting to say that sin
is at the root of most of our problems? Women are committing
more and more voilent crime, and some of the most horrendous
are by men who would seem to have low levels of testosterone.

When I was a young(er) man (I'm almost 60), I had a very high
level of testosterone. I had a pretty 'buff' body without
benefit of a gym, manual labor only. I was and still am quite
territorial, protecting what's mine and those close to me.
Never have I raped, murdered, robbed, or committed mayhem on
any person. I have been in three fist fights in my adult
life: Two when I was twenty or so that didn't result in
anything more that a bloody nose and fat lip, and one at 33
when someone attacked my date.

Yes, ma'am. And I have enjoyed immensely the company of women
with a healthy supply of it! ;^)
