Your interpretation of Scripture
will depend on where you are coming from.
Those who see salvation ultimately
as depending on themselves
will interpret Scripture in that way.
They will interpret salvation as depending
on their repentance, surrender, commitment,
baptism, church, giving, and so forth.
Those who see salvation as entirely
depending on Christ will see Christ
as their entire righteousness and salvation.
That was as they interpreted Scripture
at the beginning of the Protestant movement.
And that is still the faith in Christ
that he gives for eternal life.
will depend on where you are coming from.
Those who see salvation ultimately
as depending on themselves
will interpret Scripture in that way.
They will interpret salvation as depending
on their repentance, surrender, commitment,
baptism, church, giving, and so forth.
Those who see salvation as entirely
depending on Christ will see Christ
as their entire righteousness and salvation.
That was as they interpreted Scripture
at the beginning of the Protestant movement.
And that is still the faith in Christ
that he gives for eternal life.
