Jesus said that he would give three truths
from heaven to his people for the world.
Those truths regarded sin, righteousness,
and judgment (John 16:7-15).
All those truths point to Christ on the cross.
That regarding sin: Christ our Salvation.
Regarding righteousness: Christ our Righteousness.
Regarding judgment: Christ our Victory.
Jesus gave the truth about sin to the apostle Paul
by revelation as the gospel of grace
to show the nations that salvation is by faith
so that people would trust in Christ alone
and have eternal life.
Jesus gave the truth about righteousness
to the theologian Luther so that the world
would know the basis for salvation,
that Christ is our entire righteousness for salvation,
and so return to trust in Christ alone.
Jesus will show the truth about judgment
at the Rapture so that the world will know
that Christ is our victory over evil
so that those who pass thru the tribulation
will place all their trust in Christ and be saved.
When the prince of this world is cast from heaven
down to the earth the tribulation will begin.
The only way that anyone will be able to stand
is to place all their trust in Christ for salvation
so that he is their righteousness and victory.
On the cross, Christ took our place,
paid for our sins,
and became our righteousness
and thus our victory.
