What is the 'word of God'?

"The Bible."

Is that a correct answer? Yes. Is it a complete answer? No. Is it the best
answer? No.

B - Okay right from the get-go we have problems here. What is the word of
God? "some say it is the Bible"...or "I believe it is the Bible" but to
say "is that a correct answer? yes." Well I return to oft-said ad nauseum
question...can you prove that?

Hi Bren

You have to put the other bits (chopped out) with this one to make sense -
which was the point of the original post...

Briefly: the best answer is 'Jesus Christ - not the Bible as such - is
supremely the Word of God' (Hebrews 1:1-3)

Now, if Jesus Christ is God's Son in a unique sense, we just may have the
'author' wandering around telling us about his book! So a Christian believes
about the Scriptures what Jesus believed about them... But, he said, they
point to him, so they are the 'Word of God' in a secondary sense... Now does
that make any sense?

B - How did they prove? I can't prove it is..nor can I prove it is not. I
have no problem accepting possibilities..but I will not believe in
something just because someone "says so" unless that someone is God..why
do YOU have a hard time accepting that?
