This article has members of my household talking. I can't believe
atheists are attacking God in such a manner:

I hardly call stating that God probably doesn't exist a major or an
unexpected attack. The very existence of atheists means people are saying
this.

Personally I rather like the New Orleans street car slogan

http://friendlyatheist.com/2009/02/04/advertising-atheism-in-new-orleans/

In either case it is just a means of telling other atheists that they are
not alone. Christians are free to ignore it or to run their own ads (in
fact the London atheist campaign was a response to a Christian bus ad
campaign).

B - I read the complete article. The atheists are not "attacking
God"..they are irritated that the local "Christians" are inferring that
people who are not accepting of the reality of God are fools.

If Christians are strong in their faith they should have no worries that
the wording on the bus "probably" and not "is" will have any effect on
people.

I could see their point. If the "Christians" said "maybe, probably" and not
made a blank statement of "is and are and will" etc. they would have no
problem.

It doesn't have to be an argument between "us and them"...it's just about
respecting others beliefs and having faith and not pushing dogma.
