Hello,
I see no cons in divine healing. Only pros.
The "sign gifts" were part of the transitional phase out of
the Mosaic economy and into the Church economy, specifically
in relationship to the Jews who are "always seeking a sign." Like
Biblical NT tongues, this gift ceased with the Apostolic era.

Now do not take that to extremes. Yes, there are occassional
incidents where healing takes place at the laying on of hands by
the elders. However, generally speaking, the only ones who are
"healing" today are "cons," i.e. charlitans who mascarade as
having the power of the Spirit. Any astute student of the NT gift
is aware that these TV "healings" are just a bunch of hoey.

The biggest "con" is that it give false hope. It also plays the game
that if you weren't actually and finally healed, then it is your fault
for
not having adequate faith. These "healers" have been repeatedly
investigated and shown to be liars to the Truth. The only "pro" is
that one day they will have to give an answer for what they have
done.
