I just saw the Dateline NBC show on Carlton Pearson. What a wonderful
man! I honour this man's strength of character for going with what he
believes is Gods guidance, even if others are against him for not towing
the evangelical line.
How wonderful to be able to express your connection with God in your way
and have others there to embrace you.

I wish him well.

Blessings

For those of us who didn't see the show, and who didn't know there was such a
show, perhaps you could say who Carlton Pearson is and what his claim to fame
is.

Sorry about that. Carlton Pearson was a very well known Evangelical
minister who was in Oral Roberts camp and became quite famous. He was made
Bishop and lived a life according to literal Evangelical ways. He then had
what he considered a spiritual revelation that had him believing that all
go to Heaven..that it is inclusive and not exclusive.

The Evangelical church cut ties to him...shunned him...but the Univeralist
churches loved him and took him in ..in love. He doesn't have the same
crowds as he used to..and not nearly as much money...but he is living to
his truth.

Blessings

There will be no such honor for evangelicals who show strength of
character by going with what they believe is Gods guidance, even if
others are against them for not towing the [atheistic or some other]
line.
I guess it's NOT wonderful to express ones connection with God in
that way and have others embrace you.

Sure your family might shun you and the evangelical church may take you
in and you may not have all the same
things you used to have, but don't expect any congrats for living to
an evangelical truth.
