Paul didn't write Hebrews.
It is commonly attributed to Paul.
There are similarities to Pauline thought, granted. However, more
widely is
it thought to be someone who was taught by Paul. Though Paul used
secretaries, there are more distinctives in Hebrews that a mere change
in
secretary.

The anonymous authorship does not favor this epistle being written by
an apostle, let alone Paul. To add apostolic authorship would have
added a level of unquestioned authority. The letter in no way appears
to be a fragment so it what not cut by some copyist. There are many
other factors which detract from Pauline authorship.

The Anchor Bible Dictionary will tell you more than you might expect
about Melchizedek. But I wonder whether anyone who appears to think
Paul wrote the letter to the Hebrews is really ready for that big a
dose of scholarship.
