What should a Christian do?

There seems to be an overwhelming amount of evidence that civilization
as we know it is headed straight into a major disaster. I mean a
disaster of same magnitude as when the meteor struck and killed off
the dinosaurs.

Currently global warming is the aspect of this disaster getting the
most attention. But there are many other aspects and some of them like
the population explosion will cause more grief than global warming. I
don't know when civilization will break - but I would be surprised if
it lasted until 2100 CE. I will not be around to see.

I doubt that this is the end of the world. It seems more in the nature
of a test that we, mankind, must pass or be severely reduced.

It is possible to deny that the coming disaster is in fact coming.
The Pope (I don't know which one) said that if God thought that the
population was increasing too fast he, God, would reduce human
fertility to a suitable level. That rings very false to me. I believe
God intends for us to save ourselves physically in the physical
world.

So what is a Christian believer supposed to do?

Turning to the Bible I find no answer. In biblical times there was no
such problem and hence no answers to it. I cannot even recognize in
the Bible (in neither testament nor the non-canonical writings) any
principles that I could extend to cover this situation.

I suspect no one has answered that question because no one has any
plausible idea about what to do. Perhaps there are plausible ideas out
there that I have missed. Can anyone help?

B - where attention goes..energy flows. We manifest what we believe
in. If we have the faith of a mustard seed ..we can move mountains.

this is what I believe.
