With all the different interpretations of the Bible,
and all the different denominations and churches
because of those interpretations,
how wonderful it would be to have
the interpretation by the Author
about how salvation comes
so that people could have eternal life.
People are placing all their hopes for eternity
on their interpretation of the Scriptures,
or on that of their church.
Most are very sure it is Christ plus something else,
and so sure of that something else,
that they are trusting that in part to save them:
For some, it is the law of Moses.
For many, it is their church and leaders.
For many, it is their baptism and taking the sacrament.
For some, it is the ten commandments.
For many, it is their repentance, surrender, personal
commitment, resolve.
For many, it is their endurance.
For many others, it is their efforts, good deeds,
service, giving.
For a great many, it is all of those or various combinations
of those.
So how wonderful it would be to have the Author
give the interpretation of Scripture for salvation.
That Author is Christ.
And Christ has given his interpretation of Scripture
for salvation.
But today that interpretation is hardly loved or heard.
Christ told his disciples that after he returned to heaven,
that he would show the truth regarding sin,
and righteousness, and judgment,
and that he would do it in such a way
as the convince the world.
(John 16:7-16)
When did Christ show the truth regarding sin?
He appeared to Paul; afterwards gave him by revelation
the gospel of grace; and then sent him to the nations.
When did Christ show the truth regarding righteousness?
He showed Luther the interpretation of Scripture
that is the Scriptural basis of how salvation comes:
Jesus Christ is our entire righteousness for salvation.
Christ showed that Scriptural truth so that people
would once again trust Christ alone for salvation,
so that he would regard his own righteousness theirs,
so that they have eternal life,
and thus the Protestant movement began.
When will Christ show the truth regarding judgment?
He will show at the Rapture of the Church
by who he takes and by who he does not
that only those who trust in him alone so that he regards
his righteousness and thus victory theirs have eternal life.
Christ no sooner had showed the essential Scriptural truth
about his righteousness, than the assault from
devil, counterfeit church, and world began.
The Protestant movement was assailed
from within and without continuously.
The assault was driven by the deceiver.
The purpose of the assault was to get
the trust of the leaders and the people
off Christ alone and back onto other things
so that the truth that Christ had shown would be
less loved, less cherished, less heard, less believed, ignored.
The result of the assault was what is evident today.
That truth Jesus gave is hardly loved or heard.
Many that profess faith in Christ alone,
trust partly in self or church.
The popular salvation teaching is Christ plus surrender.
Denominations, churches, and doctrines have multiplied.
But Christ has those who still trust in him alone for salvation.
They are the millions he will take in the Rapture of the Church.
