Having the Scriptures is one thing.
Understanding them is another.
Christ is the light of the world.
Unless Christ shows how
Scripture is to be interpreted,
all the experts, all the study,
will come short of the truth.
Has Christ given the key
to the understanding of Scripture?
Yes, when he brought
one theologian to understanding
so as to have salvation in Christ,
so that people could once again
understand the way of salvation,
and understand the Scriptures,
so that the Bible was published
to the world in common languages,
and the people of God were freed
from the church dominating nations,
and the Protestant movement began.
What was the key that Christ gave
that once again showed the world
how people could be saved?
It was as Christ had foretold:
Of righteousness,
because I go to my Father,
and ye see me no more;
(John 16:10 KJV)
Christ showed the world
that on the cross
he paid for our sins as though they were his
so that we would have eternal life
as though his righteousness were ours.
That is the key to the interpretation
of all Scripture: Christ Our Righteousness.
Why must all trust for salvation
be in Christ alone,
rather than being divided
between Christ and other things?
Because Christ is our entire righteousness
for salvation for all who trust in only him.
Can people repent, surrender, be baptized,
attend church, take the sacrament, give,
without trusting in that to save them?
Yes, if they know that Christ
is their righteous Substitute,
their entire righteousness for salvation.

Amen! Christ gives us the key to understanding things one step at a
time. This is a precious key. Not everyone accepts this key, but
this is probably the most important key you can recieve in life.
Please take the key and learn how to use it. Be responsible with the
key. Learn to love with the key. Christ teaches love above all else.
